Shalomkerk (2022 - ongoing)

Shalomkerk is a Protestant church located in the southwest of The Hague, Netherlands. The church has been providing Christianity practices from the post-war times. Since 2019, it started to offer social service for its multi-cultural neighbourhood. A community of the new international residents has been brought together.

Religions create strong cultural images. There has been certain stereotypes of people/places that related to religions. But at Shalomkerk, I saw people being connected beyond that.

By bringing an open view into this international community, and seeing people from different culture backgrounds sharing the space of Shalomkerk together, I would like to invite people to think about what this society is moving towards to, and how multicultural groups could be represented.
