In the Neuland (2022)
Neuland is a community garden located on a reclaimed industrial wasteland in southern Cologne, Germany. Established in 2013, it exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to sustainable citizen engagement, countering the impacts of modern urbanization. As an urban resident visiting Neuland, I am struck by the innovative strategies and heartfelt dedication of the gardening community. Through this project, I observed how Neuland reintroduces meaningful human interaction with nature into city life, highlighting the powerful potential of eco-urban connections.
This project is featured in Trickle, a publication of The Fool Collective , for which I worked as the editor-in-chief.
